SALEM, Ore. — More than 130 women from across the Salem business community gathered Tuesday evening for the Chamber Business Women (CBW) Summer Social, held at Cubanisimo Vineyards. Professionals from a variety of industries came together for two hours of networking, music, and celebration.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, which is a part of a series aimed at encouraging women in the area’s business community to take on leadership roles and connect with one another. Tuesday’s event marked one of the most well-attended CBW summer socials in recent years.
Set against the backdrop of rolling vineyard views, the evening featured live music by Elizabeth Eck of the Roundhouse Band and catering from El Ranchero Market. A spread of real Mexican food was served to guests, and Michelle Ashley Custom Cakes, a neighborhood bakery renowned for its handmade pastries, provided dessert.
“The CBW network continues to grow and thrive, thanks to the incredible women who show up, support each other, and build something bigger together,” said Jackie Roche, Membership Manager at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.
The first eight registrants received special early-bird gifts as a thank you for arriving early. A local company supported women in business by sponsoring themed gift baskets for the raffle drawings later in the evening.
From first-time attendees to longtime Chamber supporters, the event served as a space for both new and familiar faces to connect and engage. “Tuesday’s CBW Summer Social at Cubanisimo Vineyards brought together over 130 dynamic women from across the Salem business community for an unforgettable evening of connection, celebration, and community,” Roche said.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce credited the support of Marion County’s Economic Development Program for helping make the event possible. The event was hosted by Cubanisimo Vineyards, which provided its outdoor space to fit the sizable crowd and enhance the atmosphere.
The CBW Summer Social is a component of a larger initiative to provide businesswomen with events that are both accessible and engaging. With a new season of programming scheduled to launch in September, the Chamber intends to maintain that momentum into the fall. It is anticipated that the next CBW luncheon will be announced soon, giving participants another opportunity to network, learn, and expand their professional networks.
One of the Salem Chamber’s most vibrant and active networks is still Chamber Business Women, which attracts members from a variety of sectors, such as entrepreneurship, healthcare, real estate, and education. CBW continues to promote a community of support and career advancement by organizing events that prioritize visibility and collaboration.
