The current and past two mayors of Vancouver want officials in Olympia to consider how the proposed Columbia River Crossing (CRC) project would impact future economic development in the region.
Earlier this morning, Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt and former Mayors Royce Pollard and Bruce Hagensen sent a letter to House and Senate Transportation Committee members urging their continued support for the project.
In the letter, the mayors referenced the Vancouver City Center Vision Plan (adopted in 2007) as well as development plans along the Vancouver waterfront, to illustrate the importance of access to an improved I-5 corridor.
