Kaiser Permanente announces partnership with Legacy Salmon Creek

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is entering into a seven-year agreement with Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center to serve Kaiser Permanente members in the Southwest Washington. The new partnership-based agreement will take effect October 1, 2013, pending regulatory approval. It establishes Legacy Salmon Creek as the primary health plan hospital for the roughly 100,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Clark County.

“We saw an opportunity with Legacy,” said Thomas Hickey, vice president and associate medical director for Northwest Permanente. “We felt like going forward for the next seven years this was likely to provide the most value for our patients and the best care experience.”

Hickey noted that Kaiser will continue to operate at its currently existing specialty care and urgent clinics throughout Clark County.

The financials of the new agreement were not disclosed.
