Corner Bakery Café franchise to open locations in Portland & Vancouver

Corner Bakery Café, a national chain of cafés specializing in pastries, breads, breakfast dishes, gourmet sandwiches and more, will open 12 neighborhood cafés in Oregon and Southwest Washington beginning in 2015. The cafés will be run by franchise partner NW Ventures, a long-time Burger King operator.

Owned by CBC Restaurant Corporation, Corner Bakery Cafe has seen rapid growth in 2014, with 55 locations currently in development and franchise development commitments for more than 365 additional cafes.

“As we continue to grow into new cities, Vancouver is an attractive market for us due to its growing and vibrant business community and need for high quality fast casual restaurants,” said Gregg Koffler, vice president of franchise sales for Corner Bakery Cafe. “We know business men and women, as well as families, in the Vancouver area will appreciate our fresh menu offerings and inviting atmosphere. We plan to expand our footprint significantly in the Pacific Northwest over the next five years and Vancouver is a part of our plans.”

NW Ventures did not specify the number of cafés planned for Southwest Washington, nor did it reveal specific location information.
