The Quiznos franchise location in Washougal (291 C St #104) is closing its doors for good.
Washougal resident and Quiznos franchisee Mitch Hammontree said the decision to close was a painful one.
“My lease is coming up for renewal and I don’t see the economic and situational factors improving in the near future. Consequently, I have made the difficult decision not to renew my lease. As fellow business owners, I’m sure you all understand my situation,” Hammontree wrote in an email.
The sandwich shop is holding a “Grand Closing” event on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.
Hammontree said he plans on staying in the area to explore other business options.
