Walmart’s Washington State Giving Council awarded 10 grants last week, totaling $375,000 to nonprofit organizations across the state.
The council said the grantees are all focused on addressing basic needs, including hunger and job training.
“The Walmart Foundation is very pleased to be supporting these organizations and are committed to helping those in need in the communities where we serve,” said Matti Havener, Walmart senior director, regional general manager for Washington and Oregon. “These organizations are making great strides in helping to provide basic needs for the community, so we are proud to help fulfill their missions.”
