Earlier this week, Verizon Wireless announced that the Portland metro area will be one of the new markets to launch its next generation network in 2011.
A spokesperson for the company said its 4G LTE network, which is already available at the Portland International Airport and in Seattle, delivers speeds up to ten times faster than its 3G network.
The company expects to add more than 100 new markets before the end of this year.
