VDA meeting fundraising goals with help of state program

Vancouver’s Downtown Association (VDA) announced that it has met most of its fundraising goals with the help of the Main Street Tax Credit Initiative Incentive Program.

Through the program, created in 2007 by the Department of Revenue to revitalize traditional downtowns, VDA has received more than $130,000.

The program allows donors to claim 75 percent of their donation to the downtown association as a credit against the Washington State B&O taxes they will incur.

This year’s donors include: Kiewit Infrastructure West; Albina Fuel; Bader Beer and Wine Supply; Johnson Bixby and Associates- KMS Financial; Schwabe Williamson and Wyatt; The Al Angelo Company; Davidson Insurance; Heritage Bank; and Pacific Continental Bank.
