Taxable retail sales increase 4 Percent during Calendar Year 2011

Clark County taxable retail sales increased 4 percent to $4.2 billion during the 2011 calendar year, the Washington State Department of Revenue reported last week.

Retail trade, a component of all taxable retail sales in Clark County that includes retailers but excludes other industries, increased 2.8 percent over 2010 to $1.9 billion.

Statewide, taxable retail sales as well as retail trade were also up compared to the previous year.
