More than $3 million in expanded mental health and employment services was approved by the SW Washington Behavioral Health (SWBH) Governing Board during a meeting on May 7. The funding was made possible through the Affordable Care Act.
Funds will be utilized by a variety of local care providers in Clark and Skamania counties that submitted proposals for either mental health or supported employment services to SWBH in February.
The following is a list of the agencies that were awarded contracts and their estimated award amount:
Community Services
Northwest/Children’s Center – $364,913
Columbia River Mental Health Services – $1,544,656
Consumer Voices are Born – $227,357
Lifeline Connections – $1,013,511
Skamania County Community Health – $85,294
“These new contracts will provide additional mental health and supported employment services for the residents of Clark and Skamania counties,” said Brian Cameron, SWBH interim chief executive officer. “We are especially pleased that the board endorsed our plan to expand services in the Washougal, Camas and Battleground areas.”
