Firehouse Subs was founded in 1994 by brothers and former firefighters Chris and Robin Sorensen. The franchise now includes more than 700 sandwich shops across 36 states and Puerto Rico. In 2012, it was rated the second-fastest growing restaurant chain in the nation by Technomic Inc.

In Vancouver, Firehouse Subs will be located near the intersection of SE Mill Plain Blvd. and SE 192nd Ave. in the Mill Plain Crossing shopping center.
