The Parks Foundation of Clark County will distribute more than $125,000 in grants next month to fund parks, trails and recreation programs throughout Clark County.

Funds will be distributed during the Parks Foundation Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, May 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

The foundation launched the community grant program in 2009.

“We have an incredible group of projects and programs this year, and are honored to continue the work of supporting vibrant parks, trails and recreation programs throughout this county,” said Parks Foundation Executive Director Temple Lentz. “This year’s grants are only possible because of the extraordinary generosity of our donors and members, and our wonderful corporate and community partners. We are fortunate to live in a community that not only recognizes the importance of parks and recreation, but also steps up to support it.”

The luncheon, emceed by Jim Mains and Gary Bock, will also feature the formal presentation of the 2016 Florence B. Wager Awards honoring leaders, volunteers and parks and recreation professionals who have had a significant impact on the development and enhancement of the parks, trails and recreation programs of Clark County.
