New Seasons Market Fisher’s Landing store has won the inaugural Clark County Green Business of the Year award.
The store received the award, during last week’s annual Green Business Showcase.
New Seasons Market Fisher’s Landing won the award for its sustained commitment to the environment and implementing projects such as:
- Donating food to hunger relief organizations
- Hosting an annual bike fair
- Using durable cups and spoons at the sampling counter
- Promoting a culture of sustainability and earth consciousness
New Seasons really went above and beyond this year,” said Don Benton, Clark County Environmental Services director. “It’s inspiring to see their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.”
New Seasons competed against 13 other businesses for the distinction.
The annual Green Business Showcase highlights the efforts of Clark County Green Businesses. More than 66 businesses registered for this year’s event.
