The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care. It calculates the ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and number of medications used).
“This is an important achievement because, working together, the staff has received the validation of excellence from a federal agency,” said Janice Bottemiller, executive director.
