Local chamber names 2014 Business, Citizens of the Year

The Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce recently named LJC Feed as its 2014 Business of the Year. Additionally, the Camas/Washougal Rotary Club was recognized as the 2014 Citizens of the Year. Award recipients will be recognized on June 4 during the chamber’s annual award banquet at the Camas Meadows Golf Club (4105 NW Camas Meadows Dr.) in Camas.

LJC Feed has been locally owned and operated by Gordon and Patty French for 19 years. Gordon is an active member of the Camas/Washougal Chamber of Commerce and is a Columbia Gorge Steward Advisory member and Sponsor of the Skamania County Fair. He participates each year in the Market Sale for 4-H children and volunteers his time as a teacher at WSU on soil and weed control.

The mission of the Camas/Washougal Rotary Club is to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance understanding and goodwill through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. Since its inception, the organization’s annual Ducky Derby fundraiser has raised more than $175,000, benefiting a number of local nonprofits and charitable causes.
