Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center raised $221,000 to fight cancer at the Salmon Creek Cares dinner and auction on Sept. 7 at Ridgefield’s Windy Hills Winery. KMR Group Foundation made a $100,000 gift to sponsor the event and support a $1 million project to create a comprehensive cancer center on the first floor of Legacy Salmon Creek. The center will include genetic counseling, comprehensive screening and a holistic therapy room to be used for yoga, pilates, support groups for cancer patients and other needs.
