Council members promote healthy foods in schools, encourage community garden programs and support related projects. Members also encourage community education about the value of locally grown food.
Members represent nutrition and education, food security, waste management, resource conservation, agriculture, food distribution and community leaders. Council members must live or work in Clark County.
Members are asked to commit to a two-year term that includes regular attendance at monthly meetings and active participation in subcommittees.
