Entek Corporation, an HVAC contractor based in Vancouver, has been recognized by Energy Trust of Oregon as one of the Top 10 Energy Trust Trade Allies, for its contributions in promoting energy efficiency.
The recognition stems from a 2015 retrofit project for a private university in Portland to create energy savings up to 84 percent above the industry standard for energy-efficient design.
“Buildings are a moving target,” said Entek commercial specialist, Adam Shero. “Space usage changes, equipment changes, systems change… even though temperatures may be comfortable, systems could be consuming much more energy than necessary due to over-cooling, over-heating, or over-ventilating.”
The Energy Trust of Oregon is a nonprofit organization that promotes affordable clean energy solutions to customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural gas.
