A crowdfunding workshop organized by the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC), the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC) and city of Vancouver will be held on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Aspen Room at Vancouver City Hall (415 W. 6th Street, Vancouver).
Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the $25 event features a half-day workshop on the strategies around running a successful crowdfunding campaign, raising equity, leveraging a marketing strategy and the state’s new Crowdfunding Equity Law.
Gregory Paley, a Seattle-based business attorney and start-up expert, will assist attendees in creating a detailed roadmap to follow before determining if crowdfunding is the best fundraising method for their company, while also offering collaborative breakout sessions for businesses to assess their “crowdfundability” and strategy.
