Clark County is seeking applicants for a low-income representative opening on the Community Action Advisory Board (CAAB).
The opening is for CAAB District 2, which is roughly east of Interstate 205 between 18th and 99th streets and roughly east of 164th Avenue from south of 159th Street to the Columbia River.
The nine-member board makes recommendations regarding local government funding for basic and essential housing, health and safety needs. The board also financially supports programs that remove obstacles to self-sufficiency for low-income communities, families and individuals.
The term of the vacant seat is through Dec. 31, 2018, with the opportunity for re-appointment to two additional three-year terms.
Applicants may not be employed by Clark County or a board member of an agency receiving money administered by the advisory board.
