The Board of County Councilors says it has invited local city officials and the county Planning Commission to join in a work session on Monday, November 9 to prepare for public hearings on a “preferred alternative” to update the local growth management plan.

Organizations with rural concerns are encouraged to attend and may address planning issues under consideration.

In addition, the session will be open for anyone interested to receive the latest information available for public hearings on Nov. 19 (Planning Commission) and Nov. 24 (Board of County Councilors).

The work session will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin Street in Vancouver.
