The Camas-Washougal Community Chest (CWCC) is soliciting 2016 grant applications from local nonprofit organizations.
CWCC launched its 2015/2016 fundraising campaign earlier this month and hopes to raise $75,000 to fund grants during 2016. Grant awards will be announced in March of next year and initial payments will be made at the time of the award. Final payments will be made in November 2016.
In addition to being a 501c3 nonprofit organization, grant applicants must demonstrate that their project or program benefits residents of Camas and Washougal and meets one or more of the following needs:
- Education
- Youth activities
- Aid to people with special needs
- Natural resource conservation
- Health and welfare programs
- Crisis and emergency services
- Other similar charitable or civic objectives

This year, CWCC has awarded 15 grants totaling $69,375 and serving an estimated 15,000 people.
