Camas-Washougal Community Chest launches 2013 fundraising campaign

The Camas-Washougal Community Chest (CWCC) launched its fundraising drive this month, with a goal of raising $70,000 for the 2013 campaign.

The money raised is used to fund grants to local nonprofit organizations that run youth programs or otherwise serve Camas and Washougal residents in need.

The CWCC is wrapping up its 2012 campaign, which funded 22 grants for a total of $88,736. Major support for the 2012 fundraising campaign came from Georgia Pacific employees, the Georgia Pacific mill and the Georgia Pacific Foundation which collectively donated more than $41,000 to the CWCC. Other major donors in 2012 included Camas Public School employees, Pendleton Woolen Mill employees, Exterior Wood, Inc and David Moss and Family.
