Businesses support Share with homelessness-focused events

“Share is participating in National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week not only to bring greater awareness of these issues to our community, but also to help promote the national endeavor to end hunger and homelessness,” said Diane McWithey, executive director of Share.

Taste of Thanksgiving invites Whole Foods Market-Mill Plain guests to sample a menu including everything from their full holiday meal to wine and desert. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. 100 percent of proceeds benefit Share.

Hungry & Homeless in Clark County: Get the Facts is a free, brown-bag lecture event that runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guest speakers include: Amy Reynolds, Share; Katherine Garrett, Share; Alan Hamilton, Clark County Food Bank; Andy Silver, Council for the Homeless; and Eric Olmsted, owner of On-line Support.
