The 32-page comic book, which tells the story of how Schultz grew Starbucks into a worldwide brand, retails in print for $3.99 and digitally for $1.99.
“Some of the most of the interesting stories don’t come from Hollywood but from the business world,” said the comic book’s author, CW Cooke. “People like Schultz, Bill Gates [and] Mark Zuckerberg created unique cultural touchstone that have more entering value than the latest single from a pop single. Their stories are America’s Myths.”
This isn’t the first business professional-focused comic book for Bluewater Productions. The company has developed comic books on business professionals such as Mikhail Prokhorov, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Upcoming comic book biographies include Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter, and former GE CEO Jack Welsh.
Bluewater Productions was founded in 2006 by Darren Davis, a Vancouver resident who previously worked in the entertainment industry for Lionsgate and DC Comics.
