Dave Pelzer, the bestselling author of the childhood abuse memoir, A Child Called ‘It,’ will be the keynote speaker at the third annual Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation Cares Luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 5 at Hilton Vancouver. The luncheon benefits the Child Abuse Assessment Team at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.
The Salmon Creek Cares Luncheon raises awareness and funds to support medical assessments for children who have experienced abuse. Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation is currently in the third year of a $1.2 million campaign to support the Child Abuse Assessment Team (CAAT) project at Legacy Salmon Creek.
