JENIFER NAAS
The Salmon Creek Watershed Council’s Board of Directors recently appointed Jenifer Naas as the organization’s executive director.
In her new role, Naas’s responsibilities will include expanding the council’s volunteer programs, increasing board support and raising the awareness and impact of the environmentally-focused organization.
Naas spent more than six years heading up the Watershed Stewards Program at the Washington State University Clark County Extension. She was responsible for public outreach and education about watershed health, conservation and stormwater issues. This involved coordinating workshops, community events, restoration projects and curriculum development.
“Jen will be able to hit the ground running given her depth of expertise and keen familiarity with the opportunities and obstacles in our region,” said Board Chair Maury Harris. “She is highly qualified and we feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful leader with an existing network to guide our efforts.”
Naas received her bachelor of science degree in environmental policy analysis and planning from the University of California and her master of public administration and master of urban design and planning from the University of Washington.
Established in 2007, the Salmon Creek Watershed Council engages and inspires community investments in the Salmon Creek Watershed for the protection and enhancement of its natural resources.
LYNNETTE HYLTON
Columbia Title has announced the addition of Lynnette Hylton as a licensed limited practice officer.
Hylton brings 13 years of experience and knowledge in the real estate industry to the Vancouver-based firm.

RON BERTOLUCCI & RUSSELL BRENT
Ron Bertolucci and Russell Brent have joined Clark College Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Bertolucci is the vice president and manager of business lending for Columbia Credit Union. He has more than 30 years of financial services experience, and also served as an adjunct professor at various universities including Gonzaga, Eastern Washington and Washington State Vancouver. He holds an MBA from City University and a bachelor’s from California State University, Fresno.
Brent is the proprietor of Mill Creek Pub in Battle Ground. He has more than three decades of experience in the restaurant business, and his project management expertise includes operational assessments, concept development, business plan development, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, menu analysis, cost analysis and real-time measurement tools. He holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management and master’s in service management from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Clark College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves as the fundraising partner of Clark College in support of student learning and program excellence.
TEDD HUFFMAN
Tedd Huffman has been named as the new Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Manager. Huffman will succeed Tom Mulder, who retired in January. Huffman comes to the Gifford Pinchot after serving as the Soil and Water Program manager on the Umpqua National Forest in Southwestern Oregon since 2012.
“I am extremely pleased to be welcoming Tedd and his wife to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest,” said Gifford Pinchot National Forest Supervisor Janine Clayton. “Tedd brings a depth of land management experience and will be an excellent partner with our communities in caring for the Monument.”
An Ohio native, Huffman has a bachelor’s degree in forest management from Michigan Technological University, and a master’s degree in watershed science from Colorado State University.
His other national forest assignments include the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia, the Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania and the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado. He began his Forest Service career in 2001.“I am very excited to get to know and work with the employees and communities surrounding the Monument and Gifford Pinchot National Forest,” said Huffman. “Mount St. Helens is a very special place and I am honored to contribute to this treasured landscape.”
