Capital FC had their annual CFC Soccer Ball Auction and Benefit on November 19, which helped raise money to support scholarships for their youth-based programs.
“We raised more than ever, and this will allow us to continue offering quality programming and scholarships to the nearly 40% of our children who receive financial assistance to participate,” said CFC Executive Director Collin Box.
Over the holidays, Capital FC will be offering two tournaments that serve as fundraisers for the club.
The Christmas Tournament will be hosted by Salem Indoor and will be played from December 19-23. Participation is $450 per team, and teams that pay in full by December 12 will save $50. There is a three-match guarantee with a maximum of eight teams in the following divisions: Men’s D1, Men’s D2, Men’s D3, Men’s 30+, Open Mixed, Men’s Prep, Women’s Prep, Men’s U14, and Women’s U14. SALEM FREE CLINIC
Salem Free Clinics will continue providing free Medical, Dental, and Mental Health appointments for the uninsured and those without access to care during the holiday season. The clinic offers free flu shots and is accepting $10-25 gift cards to Walmart to help patients pay for medications.
