SALEM, OREGON – KeyBank recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Salem Kroc Center to fund the printing and materials for the “Been There” program, a seven-week interactive course designed to empower youth and young adults to change their mindsets and behaviors in order to make positive changes that will help them achieve their goals.
Written by motivational speaker, author, and empowerment expert Bonnie Milletto, the course and book “Been There, From Stuck to Unstoppable” are based on her own personal experiences as she shares powerful stories of her journey to overcome the obstacles she’s faced.
“The central theme is that when we change our beliefs about ourselves, our past, and our present, we ignite change in our lives,” says Josh Lyons, KeyBank market president for Oregon and Southwest Washington and commercial banking leader. “The power of positive self-talk and self-belief is what truly makes you unstoppable, no matter your life experiences so far. At Key, we know that helping young people reach their full potential is critical to their success and essential to building and maintaining a vibrant economy. We are honored to support this initiative.”
“We are excited that KeyBank’s values align with ours when it comes to helping young people,” said Tony Frazier, director of the Kroc Center. “Strong community partnerships like this contribute to a meaningful impact in the lives of the young people we serve.” Together, we help the next generation discover their value and make contributions that effectively engage the community and strengthen our local economy. We are deeply grateful for this new collaboration.”
